KIKI

I managed to get myself a signed copy of the new graphic novel of KIKI DE MONTPARNASSE by Catel and Bocwuet. It is amazing, I read all 400 pages in one sitting on a rainy afternoon.

Set in the beautifully bohemian 1920s France, a true story is told. Kiki is the muse of a generation and is the first emancipated woman on the 20th century. She inspired most of Man Ray's legendary photographs, as well as embarking upon a relationship with him. She would then go on to be immortalised by Kisling, Calder, Utrillo and Leger.

Here's to a true icon. An original. A wonderfully weird model. And a DAMN FINE lingerie collection...
