DIE

"Is it possible to die a happy death?" A. Camus

Those quotes would appear to hint at at least couple of routes to dying happy: sex and drugs. Not sure about rock'n'roll.

It's said that everyone who has ever died did so of the same thing - suffocation. It seems difficult to make suffocation a "happy" sensation, no matter how wonderful and diverting any concurrent sex, drugs or rock'n'roll may be.

It's certainly possible to die quickly, or at least /more quickly/ in some ways than in others, so perhaps that's the best that can be hoped for.

In morbid moments I've mused about the fact that a person who died 5,000 years ago is still only getting started being dead.

So live fast, die young and leave a good-looking corpse? Still seems like solid advice...
